Photography

I find that photography helps me to relax.  It gets me out of the house. I take an interest in the outside world, visit new places and forget about my worries with people.

Does anyone feel the same?

Later I can relax again looking through my photograph collection, organising and improving them.

Overall it is a therapeutic job hobby. That can be done both alone and with others.

  • As an autistic person myself I have been interested in photography for many years; on holidays, mostly beach ones; or around the countrysides, I tend to take beautiful photographs. I do also keep my photographs offline, though they are printed out or on private albums on other social media sites.

Going out on independant walks, taking photos, used to be incredibly enjoyable for me, however, my social anxiety took over and now I'm unable to do that, unfortunately.

I do agree, though: it is very relaxing! I hope to encourage myself to get out and take photographs again if possible.
