places to live

My girlfriend has a son who is 4 and autistic. He is in an autism specific school currently. We are wanting to move to the UK, and are wondering on where to find information on where there are good "autism friendly" schools and areas to live in. My girlfriend has researched and likes Bristol. Would that be a suitable choice for a child with autism or are there better alternatives. City or country is fine and our living preferences are not very specific or picky. We just want a good environment for her son where he can be happy and we can help him overcome this horrible disease.

Thanks for any input or advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Not overly sure I like that. Autisim isn't a horrible disease, its a condition, one that it's perks and downfalls. Diseases are usually treatable and often go away, Autisim/ASD remains with you for life pretty much. You can certainly do something to ease it, but not fully over come it.
