When things get tough

hello all

i hope it's ok to ask but I'm after any info about whether there is anything out there like an a online mentoring type thing.

My daughter has aspergers and high anxiety and as she gets older life is getting harder for her to understand. She has just started at secondary school and is really having difficult understanding social cues and behaviours and she feels like she is always getting it wrong. She repeats behaviour to make people laugh and is so hurt and upset when they get annoyed or angry with her for being annoying and I can't seem to make it any easier for her. I guess because I'm mum and what do I know! It's just so hard hearing her cry each day.

what I thought would be amazing would be for her to have a friend or mentor who has been there, someone she can chat to and talk about to about her feelings and hear how others have coped.

I have seen that there are pen pals in the autism United magazine but these seem to generally be men and ladies in their 30s+ and that wouldn't really be appropriate.

Anyway is this there anything out there for her to find friends?

THank's in advance
