I was sent a gift today by my old manager, a nice new copy of Laura James' book 'Odd Girl Out'. It details a year in her life from receiving her diagnosis of ASD to her sort of acceptance of this diagnosis.
I read the whole book on the train to Edinburgh in around three hours...it's life changing. I have never ever been able to relate to anyone as much as I have related to the author....it's like someone had looked into me and written down what they've seen in a book, I can't get over it. I just can't believe it...this book is me in print!
