In case it sounds mean, the movies really are bad - basically unwatchable without the riff track. But with that added, a strange alchemy occurs and they become things of beauty. And it's always good natured, light humour - never anything darkly caustic. It's a life-affirmingly silly show, about keeping sanity in adversity through the power of keeping a sense of humour and humanity. And it's very funny.
Yes! I'm re-watching it the moment and it pulls me out of the sloughs of despond for a while when most needed.
And I realise I've just done that thing I was talking about the other day. StephenHarris, wherever you are now, I salute you. You have great taste. Or maybe terrible taste, but we share it.
