help what do i do

my son threatened someone with a knife in his home economics class , school has not phoned me to tell me this i found out another way . beening as he gets so angry and people not knowing he is the way he is keep bullying him and calling him names he lost his temper and i dont know what to do he is 15 and im scared to put him to school as he has been threatened by his whole class . i know he was in the wrong but he doesnt understand it just says he knows he has done wrong now i also think he is a bit confused someone in his class said he didnt he said he did so i dont know who to believe but as he is now beeing threatened to be beaten up unsure what to do

  • all of this comes down to a lack of understanding if the class knew about what he has they may have a differant point of view i admit that i was bulied and called names and still am being by some people and yes as someone with AS i have theatend someone in my scince class with death for calling me names but this has to stop alltogether

hang in there and together we can make a differance for people with austim and aspergers sindrome

    The Major

  • Poor you, it is such a worry isn't it.

Do you have an Ed Psych you can contact?  Communication sounds like our school.  Our son trashed the classroom yesterday after a build up of 2 years of stress and neglect from them.  They have not told us either!  Amazingly poor isn't it.  We are keeping him off for a week minimum to try and get his stress down a couple of notches before we can move it forward.

First and foremost if it was me, would be everyone's safety including your son.    He also needs protecting from being put in a situation that is likely to cause a reoccurrence.

Then take steps to deal with the situation with support from NAS helpline or your local support services, outreach service.  I am guessing the teacher of domestic science and head teacher but make sure you have someone with you.

They have to deal with the bullying before the outbursts will stop.

I am sure other people will have good advice on the next steps.

    Hang in there
