Son on a reduced timetable had to quit work because of it

My son is currently waiting an ados assessment, school have not been very helpful with him and not put anything into place other than his sensory snacks and gets taken to sensory room when having a meltdown. His meltdowns have got so bad that school have put him onto a reduced timetable, I did work full time but now because this reduced timetable could be in place for a year iv had to leave my job. I feel as though the chops have just passed him back to me so they don't have to deal with my son and now I have lost my job. Is this right and what am I entitled to.
