Hi all, new to the forum.
I recently received my ESA50 form to renew my claim on ESA. In the past I have had them, filled them in with a help of a friend/partner and sent it back and have remained on ESA. I have only had one Medical Assessment when if first claimed, ever since, it seems that the Assessment is not needed.
But now I am worried. Firstly, my friend who is unable to read, write and has short term memory loss, lost his decision on his ESA claim (I even went to the assessment with him back in December). He got scored wrong, on in particular was his communication, which he got a 0 for, which is wrong as he can't write, type and does have difficulty explaining things.
Now it seems to be my turn to re-claim and I am really worried, that they will take the ESA away from me and put me back on JSA. I came off JSA, when they were going to put me on a Gateway to work course, which I had attened the previous year and it freaked me out so much, I only went for one day and never returned. Also the Job Centre used to give me every job going and expected me to apply, which I never did as I knew full well I couldn't do the majority of the jobs.
My girlfriend is filling the form out for me this time and she is going to apply to be carer for me too, as both my parents have moved to Italy and none of my other family seem that bothered about me. She is the only person who has been here to help me with anything over the last 11 years. She is also hopefully come with me, should I have another assessment.
Anyone else have had their ESA50 form through? Mine is due back on the 9th March and I really hate this not knowing of what the outcome may be.
