Unhelpful family

Hi I'm new to the thisforum.my son is 9 with aspergers. All though we r fine with it some members of the family no longer want anything to do with him saying he is to much hassle. I know it's there problem and that they are missing out on a lovely boy. But it's still hurtful to hear.

  • Slightly off topic and I hope not stressful to read but my family are nightmares due to a few reasons, they live in a area near London with plenty of work and always go on about benefit scroungers and how people can get a job same day, one of my cousins was diagnosed with bi polar a few years back and even attacked her mum in a wheelchair (who herself is nasty but didn't deserve that) this all leads up to over a decade ago my brothers fiance was murdered, she kept telling the police we were phoning her up and either hanging up or heavy breathing on the phone from unknown numbers, this lead to my brother losing his 1 and a half year old daughter, and my aunt claiming my brother was a murderer and breaking off contact with our family.

    Yet 4 years previous my other cousin who only recently came off heroin in his early 40s was in jail for manslaughter and she one point was on the phone for 14 hours crying to my mum about her "baby boy" and said aunt wanted support, my mum despite being on benefits sends birthday and christmas presents and cards down every year and never once had presents back and about one card from random family member every 3 or 4 years despite them all being in very well paid jobs and my aunt still calls her junkie son her darling angel despite until about 3 years ago (maybe less) he stole money for years from my grandad, and had dealers kick in my aunts and other cousins door for money.
