Hi,
Some members will know that I have been involved in the Community since it’s start in February 2010.
Jim was the first Community Manager and we worked together to launch the Community with the help of many founding members, some of whom are still involved.
After seven years at the NAS I have decided to move on. The management and moderation has now passed to a new (NAS) team of staff and volunteers. I leave knowing the Community will be in safe hands and that the new team will continue to involve and consult members on forthcoming developments.
I want to express my admiration for all members who have helped build the Community. I have often been moved by the generosity of spirit in the Community. There are not many places where strangers meet and offer each other support, kind words and debate so freely. It kindles my faith in our human capacity to be altruistic and tolerant of difference. Thank you.
I’m staying in touch with autism. I will be training to mentor autistic adults either in work or trying to find work. Should be fascinating and rewarding I hope.
