Hi, my name is Johnny and I'm a 46 year old person with Asperger Syndrome, diagnosed this year on 9th May 2016 at the Lambeth Autism Service which is a division of Bethlem Royal Hospital. I am a very emotional person, and am susceptible to mood swings and inherent agitation and when I get angry I flick my wrists and bang myself in full blown autistic meltdown mode. I also can't abide loud noises like music and violent films on the telly, I like black and white movies, mainly Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers which I know a lot about. I also love Bananarama an 80's group and 1970's pop music Boney M. I don't like it played at a loud volume and get very nervous around fireworks, cars backfiring, noisy motorbikes near my flat, smoke detectors activating and noisy dogs barking. All my senses are affected and it's right down to the foods I eat, I only eat cheese and tomato sandwiches and it HAS to be on Bloomer bread with the crusts removed, no pickle. That's all I eat. I live independantly and make collages and scrapbooks and draw animals very well on observation. I'm also very high functioning in English Language and spelling.
