'Argos' and cataloges

Since Argos arrived on our island in Jan my autistic son has taken to studing the cataloge,

he started to take it to school/and everywhere  in his bag.

One day when he was in the taxi (on his own)going to school the driver was asking him what he was doing? only to be replyed with 'im phoning up to win a argos competion'.

To my shock when i had a phone call later to say he had won £150 voucher.

As i did not know he had entered.

only later i found out from everyone what he had done.

Hobbies can be a good thing after all.

what do you think?

  • I was a massive fan of the Argos catalogue up until about the age of 16-18*. I used to always want a copy of my own. And virtually looked through it cover to cover. Repeatedly.

I used to be able to locate most products quickly (knew the area of the book and often the page numbers), I knew a lot of the products that they stocked, the prices of the products. Even a lot of the information like deliveries, the approval returns policy etc.

Congratulations on the £150 voucher win.

*I still use it, but it's not something that I follow like I used to.
