Borderline and looking for support !!

Hi all,

We have been told that our 8 year old is borderline and cannot be labelled but has 'something'.

I don't know anyone with asd and am wondering if you have to belabelled/diagnosed to join support groups?

If not does anyone know of any in Flintshire?

Any help appreciated x

  • Hi,

Our son was diagnosed on boarder line ASD,i think these kids are the hardest to look after,as they are normal great kids but when things go wrong they are v-hard to deal with.we treat our son as though he is ASD we find this easier to cope with,as we allso have an Autistic son aswell.

But allso we have to remember to give him the freedom as a normal child as our son is 16 and capable of going to collage and part time work.I think these type of kids just need a bit of respect as they do have high IQ,and are great fun to be with, they are very family orientated and love home life.

The main thing i always let him know is that mommy is always here for you whatever happens,he seems happy when i tell him this.

    hope this helps
