Aspie Comedians?

My name is Don Biswas and I have been performing stand-up comedy since mid 2007. My unique set combines both razor sharp one-liners, with humour about having Dyspraxia (organization and coordination difficulties) and mild traits of Asperger's Syndrome and the effect it has had on me, while coming from a middle class Indian family. Also thrown into the mix are quirky observational, political and topical humor.

Now that you mention it, Pixiefox, I recall reading that about Dan Ackroyd but wasn't sure it was true.

I can't resist posting this up because I found it really funny the way people have such a stereotypical idea about what it's like to be autistic. It's Ricky Gervais talking about autism:

I don't know of any stand up comedians on the spectrum, but Dan Ackroyd has aspergers and he is a great comedy actor & writer. One of my all time favourite films is Ghostbusters. This came from his obsessions with ghosts and the police.

Yes, he is funny, but he uses that to put over some serious stuff about people on the AS.

It shows you what people can accomplish given the right approach to their 'disabilities'.
