Hi im new to all this. My son (7) hasnt been diagnosed yet however the school now believe his autistic. Doctors refused to knowledge anything was wrong with him dispite commenting he couldnt sit during our appointment.

Anyway during his meltdowns/tantrums/moods he bangs doors constantly ( got some lovely holes in them too) however does anyone elses child have to have doors OPEN? He cant have a door shut even when he goes to the toilet! God knows what he does at school if hes not using the urinals lol.

  • Thank you for your reply. Doctor told me hes behaviour was all normal even though i had videos showing him violent etc. Ive gone back to the school and told them they need to help me more just waiting for forms for early years help which has taken 3 months so far lol. 

    I knew alot of people say their child closes doors just wondered if them being open was part of it ;)
