    • Avoid alcohol, it is a depressive
    • Eat healthy
    • Go for a walk, run or any sport you enjoy. This release happy hormones and also helps the body remove those that cause stress
    • Prioritise your needs, do something that makes you happy
    • Get some good sleep if you can, try this site for help on sleep hygiene sleepfoundation.org/.../sleep-hygiene
    • Speak to someone who is close, you trust and will support you. Suicidal thoughts are a huge burden to manage on your own

    This is good advice.

Over the last 18 months, I've been diagnosed with both ADHD and ASD. It's called comorbidity and I'd never heard the expression before until a specialist doctor discussed this with me.

The diagnoses for both ADHD and ASD has helped understand the way I think and behave. I've since reduce my alcohol consumption and try to eat better. The doctors have presribed a few pills to help manage the ADHD and some of the other symptons I was having. They do seem to help.

I have had some bad episodes, too. You have to know whom you can call for support. In my opinion, talking is the best medicine.
