Behaviour and Aggression

Hi there

My son is now 13 years old and has been aggressive towards us and has bitten, kicked and bruised us on occassions.

He got me particularyly badly this weekend and I still feel quite down about it and worry about the future.

He managed to pin me down on the sofa and kicked me, bite me, whacked me round the head and scratched me. Unfortunately his Dad was out so I bore the brunt.

Does anyone out there have any hints or tips on how to restrain him when he gets like this or does anyone know of any courses we could go on?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    I am sorry to hear about this and i hope that you are o.k.  I went through the same thing as a teenager.  i used to hurt my loved ones and looking back on it i feel bad and i am sorry for what i had done.  I know why i did it and it was because i was full of mixed negative and positive emotions that went around in a spiral rollacoaster in my head and the only outlet i had for it was anger. 

    I spoke to a therapist and was on mdication.  the school was also informed.  it took manny years and so much suppport from my parents even though i pushed them away to get through it.  I agree totally with what Yorkie is saying, and everyhing will be o.k.
