Behaviour and Aggression

Hi there

My son is now 13 years old and has been aggressive towards us and has bitten, kicked and bruised us on occassions.

He got me particularyly badly this weekend and I still feel quite down about it and worry about the future.

He managed to pin me down on the sofa and kicked me, bite me, whacked me round the head and scratched me. Unfortunately his Dad was out so I bore the brunt.

Does anyone out there have any hints or tips on how to restrain him when he gets like this or does anyone know of any courses we could go on?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • oh alimay you have my sympathy there love, sounds like puberty is kicking and  your son is struggling with the changes he is feeling .We  went thought this with our son and suffered continual physical abuse from the moment he woke till the moment he eventually went to sleep again.Eventually we got medical advice and he was put on medication (sertraline) and it helped him so much.    Get some help love, talk to someone your social worker, school nurse, consultant any professional who is involved with your son and please get some help. it's puberty, hormones are bad enought to cope with without the autism please get some help.
