To talk to someone who is like me

Hello,

I registered yesterday and I'm abit confused with how to use this.

I am currently in my last year doing GCSEs. I have aspergers, anxiety and depression and I am getting bullied by a group of peoplE at school which makes it hard for me to want to go to school.

I don't have any friends and so I would really like to speak to someone who feels similar to the ways I do?

  • I went through the same many years ago, I found after school exams bullying was much less of a problem when I went to college. Try and focus as much as you can on your exams. The bullies are generally very insecure and reflect their anxieties and problems on to others. Oddly enough after I left school, some of the bullies would come up to me in the street and make normal very friendly conversations

  • You could be my daugher - she is in her final GCSE year and has to cope with everything you have mentioned.

I've just joined this because she feels exactly the same way as you and I want to find a way to help her, well all of us, get through this next year.

She thinks she will fail everything. She is pretty bright, but scared of failure and so anxious about sitting exams and also about moving on to the next school.

If you find anything that helps then let me know so I can get her to try it.

    I'm running out of ideas!

    Good luck.

  • I've just finished my GCSE's and if it helps I failed all of them because I was in  hospital for most of them, as for bullying i understand...i've been to 6 secondary schools because of it and i am entering college in september and i am extremely anxious about it, what if people don't like me? what if they make fun of me? what if i get bullied again? I'm always here if you need to talk

  • hello and yes it's very hard to deal with and yes the school, parents and doctors know about it but school arent good at dealing with bullying.

  • Welcome, 123

You will find people who understand you better here.  I'm a lot older than you, but since your age and before, I also had anxiety and depression to deal with on top of the Asperger's traits.  And exam year - I remember that too, it was an eventful year in my life too!

It sounds like the first thing that needs sorting out is the bullying - everyone should feel that they are in a safe place when they're at school.  Are there any adults in your life who are aware that this is happening?
