A celebration of our past (funny/awkward) moments

We all have them. We all painfully remember them. Why not share them, so we can rise above them? I'll begin with couple of mine:

(if you don't like romantic skip to second story). I was volunteer in a charity and there was this girl that I was fond of. Not that much even, I just liked being around her because she was a bubbly personality. But, often times she would make a hint and I wouldn't know if she was joking or not. However, she was doing them constantly and I thought she was into me, so I found a nice moment. Didn't know how to say it, so I was pretty direct: are you looking for a boyfriend. Everything stopped. The awkwardness so was thick you can cut it with a knife in the air. She started mumbling, trying to get out of the situation. At which point I realised she's not into me.. I am not a fast thinker, but at this moment I remembered that she would always say things like "no one ever likes me, I'll die alone" so I just reminded her this and we slowly backed away. In different directions.

Another funny moment when I was still at school. I just changed school, and it was my third day there. I was being late for class, and when I entered everyone were already seated. The teacher asked me where have I been. Truthfully I answered (I hate lying) that we went to buy cigarettes. Upon which everyone started laughing. The teacher thought I was making fun of her. And asked me again "Where were you?". At this point I thought I am too deep, and if I say something else would be acused of lying so I replied: "I went to the store and I bought a yellow camel because the other make me cough". I will leave the ending to your enterpretation.

Story number 3: I just started my second job in a super market. I got on perfectly well with my co-workers. But, one day I was collecting the empty boxes around the store in a shopping cart. I was doing it in quick manner, by pushing the cart and riding on it. In other words I made a fun game out of this boring job. The manager sees me, and apparently there was another manager from a different store with her. And says: "I don't want to see you do that ever again!". I didn't see anything wrong with it, and I actually I was quite efficient, so in turn I asked: "Why?". She didn't respond, but made a really grumpy face. I didn't had any idea what is going on, so the only logical thing to do was to continue with my work. After 2 days everyone are gathered in the bread area and we are chatting casually while the manager says loudly (my name) do you want to have a brake? Everyone become silent. I say: yes why not. I am going to give you five days off. Everyone look me with envy. I say okay. After my five days off I am ready for my shift and arrive on time. The supervisor greets me awkwardly. "Oh, hi. How are you?". I reply "I am fine going to work. Why do you ask?". She never asked me before. "Well how to tell you, you're fired". 3 years later they rebrand the store or whatever, and there is a new manager. The old manager is lowered to a cook.
