Today i received my copy of I am an Aspien Woman-By Tania A.Marshall-all the way from Australia- i can honestly say it has saved my life! i get so ill with certain personality types, people that bully me with their twisted perceptions and i have huge emitional daily struggles/battles in my head with them e.t.c I know it isn't always my problem/fault because i will always come across some arrogant/ twisted personality types that make it look like it's me,and it makes me struggle badly. But the book helps you realise your strengths and i know i am strong willed to name a few and a fighter- i refuse to give up despite the daily hell i've endured.
To hear of so many people that have the same problems as me is a relief. And they don't give up. It also talks of misdiagnosises of schizophrenia and social anxiety e,t,c which is why so many professionals still don't recognise aspergers.
But Tania Marshall is an Australian psychologist and expert in this field and if anyone is struggling badly and struggling to find a diagnosis and is passed from pillar to post with labels of schizophrenia e.t.c i'd recomend you show this book to them- it really emphasises what aspergers is really like and how it is a little like living with borderline personality dissorder e.t.c but aspergers is a developmental dissorder in it's own right and is to be taken seriously.
