Anybody know people with autism who do Olympic weightlifting. I would like to start of my boy, but it's hard finding out any information about it for kids.
Thanks.

Hi Martyboyo.
My career is in the fitness industry and having aspergers myself, I enjoy weight training and recently got certified in Level 1 WeightLifting. I recommend contact British Weight Lifting. The guy that taught me was friendly and they're keen to help people get into the sport. Don't be put off by the British title either, I am Irish and they operate here too and they're keen to help. I hope this helps and good luck. It's a fantastic sport.
Really not my area of expertise but have heard Alis speak at workshops she runs on Aspergers. She has Asperger Syndrome and Olympic Weight lifting is her special interest.
Her weightlifting website is : http://www.womensweightlifting.co.uk/
and her usual (autism) website is the curly hair project. (CHP)
Am sure she has a 'contact me' on her CHP website - so maybe you could try contacting her direct as she might be able to help you / direct you to the info you require.
She is very active on social media - twitter / facebook etc.
