new to autism

hello im a busy mum to 4 kids my 8yr has just recently been given a diagnosis  ASD, we always knew he was different but the last year and a half its more apparent. at this moment im totally at a loss as to where i go from here or what to do next. i have applied for dla but looking for more info on groups to join places to go and ideas on making everyday living less stressful for him and keep his anxiety levels low as possible thanks

  • There's a little red and pink map on the Home and Community pages of the NAS site. It allows you to seasrch services in your area. It is a bit London-centric so you may have to scroll past all the London service adverts to find what you need.

    Even if there isn't a service near you it is worth contacting the nearest available. They may know of something more local to you that's not listed or well publicised.

    A parents group such as a NAS local group would be your best option
