Support resources/organisations in Exeter for 34 year old man with Aspergers

Hi.

not sure if this is the best place but I'm wondering about availability of specialist support services in Exeter and surrounding areas. My 34 year old son was diagnosed Asperger Syndrome aged 21. We are moving from London in order to afford a home for him and he will need support to live independently of his parents. He is currently living in the parental home and receiving 11hours/wk specialist support. He's developing a good level of independent living skills but needs support to remind and encourage and do things with him.

Does anyone have relevant experience they could share?

  • Hello,

I have only just seen this post but St Loyes Foundation in Exeter may be able to help. They have a couple of support projects running called Positive Aspects and Positive Opportunities. My son who has Aspergers actually works for them but mostly on other projects.

    Hope you get something sorted.
