Could my 19 month old be mimicing my 10 year old sons autistic behaviours?

I have 3 children all boys eldest is 10 he has autism other 2 are 19 months and 6 months. I know this may sound silly but i really am unsure whats classe as normal for a child. So here goes
My 19 month old worries me i can see traits that his brother had has for instance he refuses to eat anything unless it in a bowl will not eat from packets. He has to habhhave shoes on all the time. He will only eat grapes if he takes them of the bunch and nobody touches his bunch of grapes. He never stops touching ears he can't fall asleep unless hes holding your ear. He spins beyond dizzy he spins till he actually falls over. He headbutts everythhing and if it hurts he goes and does it again. If his routine is broken he sobs for hours has meltdowns worse than my 10 year old does one morning he was told he couldn't have tv remote and started tantruming it was bedtime that evening before he stopped. I have always been over panicky and worried about him everyone says its because of the problems my eldest has but i don't feel like that with my 6 month old its like i know my 19 month old has issues but my 6 month old hasnt iykwim?

Is any of this normal 19 month old behaviour? Could he also be mimicing is older brothers autism?

  • I think it is certainly possible for a young child to mimic an older one, I guess the big question is- is he actually copying your son? One would assume that if he was mimicking his sibling, he'd be doing the same things. If he has his own autistic traits or patterns of behaviour that are not the same as his brother, it is less likely to be mimicry.

I can't comment on normal behaviours of children though.
