Food issues are common among people with autism. This is a slightly controversial area as some people think that diet can fix a lot of things. The actual hard scientific evidence is hard to find however. I suspect that it can help some people to some extent. There is an Australian website that claims to be able to help http://fedup.com.au/
Sleep is another common problem and various things can help - blackout curtains work for me, melatonin works for some - with all of these things you probably have to try different things out to see if any of them will help your son.
