The B & Q Experience

Took my lad to B & Q to buy switches. He stood in the lighting isle and switched the rocker switch display models, continuously. Incredibly, irritating to the shop assistant and she seemed more than a little amused that a young adult would behave like this. Then he suddenly announced, ‘I’ve just realized, B & Q Is a place to help you improve your home, isn't it?' I think then the penny dropped in her mind.

Bless.

I know that their's a lot we take for granted, but it's at times like this that It hits home the true level of his lack of understanding about the wider world. The older he gets, the greater efforts he makes to hide the things he doesn't understand. So counter productive in many respects, but I guess no one wants to feel more stupid than people already make you feel. :(
