Advice

My son 15yrs old ASD+ADD, recently experiencing mental health issues.

What I am finding with my son, is that when we see the professionals he doesn't want to talk to them or tell them how he's been feeling.

He will say I have told them once, why do I have to say it again.

He will also say to professionals everything is fine, when it isn't. They seem to taking everything at face value, I thought these professionals know how to work with such conditions.

Has his mum I know there is more going on for my son than he is letting on, I think he is aware how concerned we are for his mental health, I think he's also worried about the stigma of telling people about his mental health, I think he's become good at masking his mental health.

To people who don't understand him, they would think he was such a chilled young man, but his internal anxieties and lack of ability to communicate these are having a big impact on his mental and physical health.

How best to put this across to the professionals.
