If a 17 year old has self harmed in school. Do they have to keep a record of when it happens and offer first aid?
As the person is under 18 I would have thought they would also have contacted parents! I used to be a teacher, and would have assumed this.
I would have thought that they should do those things. They are generally obliged to act as responsible adults en.wikipedia.org/.../In_loco_parentis
I don't know what regulations might apply in particular though so you may want to consult citizens advice for proper legal advice. (I am not a lawyer)
