I have recently realised that new posts under any given topic, are automatically sent to the email inbox of the person who raised the subject. Sometimes, when one goes to the latest content page and looks at the posts, they have been removed or edited, so that the content appears different to the email received. The email is anonomised, so the recipient does not know who made the reply, if it has been removed.
This seems to me to give scope for bullying, as the reply can be changed, after it has gone to the in box of another member.
It is very easy to join the forum, set up email accounts etc. The facility for editing is vital, so that members can reconsider and amend posts. Why are some replies sent out by email, in this manner? Would it not be safer to advise people that replies had been received and were available to be seen on the website, where public scrutiny would ensure that bullying does not slip through, unnoticed.
