A board just for posts by autistic people?

I'm wondering if the autistic people here would like a board on this forum where only autistic people could post. Of course anyone would be free to read it. And those who wanted to include parents and carers could post on other boards here.

Would this make us feel safer about posting and more able to discuss topics?

No risk that someone would chip in offering to cure you or try to help with no direct experience of autism.

There are so few opportunities for us to talk to each other and communicate as we wish to.

  • Having one board here is very long way from having an Autistic State! I think autistic people are a very diverse group with a range of backgrounds and life experiences.One board wouldn't make us isolated from other viewpoints.

    If people wanted to include non-autistic people's responses to their posts there would be a dozen other boards here that they coukld post on, it wouldn't be compulsory to use the autistic-only one.

    Parents and carers have their own board here but don't seem to fear being isolated or having a narrow viewpoint.
