A board just for posts by autistic people?

I'm wondering if the autistic people here would like a board on this forum where only autistic people could post. Of course anyone would be free to read it. And those who wanted to include parents and carers could post on other boards here.

Would this make us feel safer about posting and more able to discuss topics?

No risk that someone would chip in offering to cure you or try to help with no direct experience of autism.

There are so few opportunities for us to talk to each other and communicate as we wish to.

Not sure I see a significant problem here. I'm not sure what topics would benefit from excluding non-autistic people?

I think that there is also an issue of groupthink en.wikipedia.org/.../Groupthink where there is a danger of isolated, self interested views reinforcing each other in the absence of effective challenges. I think that we can benefit from other viewpoints and insights from non-autistic people. I don't want to have an Autistic State where the views of non-autistic people are ignored!

You can always make it clear in your original post that you are only interesed in the experiences of autistic people and that does happen when people ask whether other sufferers suffer from a particular problem.
