What do other people understand by the term 'lovely people'.

It may be my aspergers, but i find this term a bit confusing....someone said to me the other day.... 'You do know some lovely people, don't you?!' i just smiled and went 'Yes!'.

But i'm not sure how people are lovely?  When i know People are too busy, stressed, got problems,in a mood, tritely possitive....so how does it make them lovely?

Anybody shed any light on what it is that makes somebody a lovely person if they're human?

Thank-You

  • Hi Azalea,

Re- Question: They just blurted it out at the end of a conversation. But i think your right, lovely people aren't ten a penny. And some people use it when they've just met people and i think'' How do they know they're lovely when you've just met them and they're being public self.'' I think your right, it probably does mean despite people's foibles, it is a certain kindness/genuiness, within, that they posess, that makes them lovely.Thank-u
