New Years Resolutions and Positive Steps for change

I'm trying to establish a new regime. Although, I may be caught in the throws of the New Years Resolution practice, somehow, this feels a little more positive and proactive.

I've vowed to get some order in my home and my life in a bid to reduce the stress levels I expereince and so far it seems to be off to a resonable start,

Does anyone else have some practices they'd like to share or startegies for reducing their stress levels?

  • I think that when you have children, you have stress. When my son was a baby, I could not even have a bath alone, because he was scared of the bath, and the obvious answer was to bathe in together. I also once hid from my preschool children, to get a precious moment of peace. I made sure the doors were locked and there was nothing dangerous around, then lay quietly on the floor  by the bed, out of view of the door.

Asd people need time to themselves, with peace and quiet. That is a rare commodity in family life. All you can do is plan meticulously every predictable thing, such as meals, shopping, cleaning and then deal with all the chaos as it arises.

My mother once told me that I would get a little peace when the children went to school, but then we end up looking for work again, just to make life more complicated.

    I can stongly recommend retirement.Smile
