Change

Two solid days of compromise and coercion just to get an early spring clean of my sons bedroom. Far from my efforts encouraging him to clean, he's simply dug his heels in harder. His resistance to change, despite the very real need to clean his bedroom (not only for aesthetics, but actually for health reasons.) has reached new heights. The moving of personal possessions or total removal of certain items of furniture well past their sell-by date, has caused serious meltdowns. What an earth would his own home ever look like if he every became self-sufficient enough?

In hindsight I wish I'd waited until he was back at School, but frankly i couldn't face that level of fallout… ) Life with those who don't do change, can be pretty hard.
