Not getting anywhere with tests to see if I have asd or not
I score 37, but find some questions outdated. Eg I would never clutter my brain with phone numbers. I think it is a little male slanted too, eg the question about collecting data on categories of things. I believe baron-cohen only studied boys.
Hi Sez,
So, from the others' posts you can see that you are not alone here! :-)
Hi Sez,
So, that "indicates a strong likelihood of Asperger syndrome or autism" according to the site's interpretation page -
You may be able to use this to help persuade your doctor that you should be formally tested. The free test is quite reliable but it is not the same as a diagnosis. It is enough to persuade most/all people on this forum that you are "one of us" but it doesn't have any official weight for getting any special assistance or reasonable adjustments under the Equality act.
The next question is to ask why you want or need a diagnosis?
Does this help at all?

Sorry to hear it. Is it your GP who is hindering your progress in getting a diagnosis? Unfortunately most GPs are absolutely useless when it comes to anything psychological. I think the best way is just to be really pushy - demand that you want to be taken seriously and mention to your doctor that they have a duty of care to all their patients.
Good luck
Hi Sez,
Have you tried the free online test at aspergerstest.net/.../
This gives an indication about whether you might be ASD or not. Perhaps you could see if you can do the test and then reply here to say how you get on?
