So addicted to Attack On Titan anime!!!!!

Just thought I'll post it on here since there isn't hardly anyone I could talk to about this because when I do, they either end up talking about something else or just look like they don't care which is really annoying especially my manager at work when I was TRYING to tell him the storyline of why I'm so interested in this anime and what it is about, he was the one who asked me last week about it but after I said like a few words, then he drifted off to change the subject to something else like did I know this, did I know that etc etc, I hate how I always have to pretend to listen to the things he says but I'm not brave enough to just change the subject cos he's my manager but it's always all about him and his interests and when I try to speak about mine, it doesn't last long which is annoying.

Anyway, no idea why I got into that first part, probably had to get it out there first, I'm so addicted to attack on titan right now, all I do is think about it all the time, constantly play all the songs on it while walking to work! I'm just wondering if anyone else just gets that feeling where they are extremely addicted to something. I usually get addicted when the storyline, characters all link to my imagination, the scenes etc like I think I'm the main character and I have something to relate to like when watching this anime, I can watch it again and again because I picture the scenes like I'm in it as well!

After watching the whole series 1, I have the whole thing on blu ray! I just have so many questions which I can't wait for season 2 to come out!!!

  • ON-TOPIC= ive seen snippets of the anime and mainly ive watched a shortend 10 min cut of the series called- Attack on Titan- Abridged on Youtube, so is a funny voice-over parody of the series, with clips from the show. Was impressed with what i saw.

So ive not seen the actual anime series yet, but i have read the manga (comic-book form of the show).

Loads of cool plot-twists with the characters and the Titans and the universe they live in. The Titans themselves are crazy, creepy things: manic, normal-looking (ie look humanoid), 10ft to 60ft tall monster men and woman that love to eat people for no reason other than to cus they can.

Action is really extreme and of course, the horror and violence is there too, with a strong purpose (not just hack and slash, but a weird level of mindful tastse to it).

OFF-TOPIC= yeah in regards to you saying how your boss asked you about it and once you started getting the idea of the series across he switched off and changed the subject- this happens to me often as well- its cus they ask a vauge question and you think they are interested (and they are, just now that much) and you have to start from the start and work your way through it all. So it becomes a tad bit much for them to handle, information overload (usually people just go, yeah its good with lots of fighting and its like an adult cartoon<< even this can be too much...!!!!)

Drives me mad the way people talk at times- i often find myself thinking "what is the point"- like, they will talk forever about stuff they talked about a million times before, other people, relationships, meals, work, weather...!- but when it comes a something like say a film someone saw at the weekend (something new) it goes exactly like this: "Hey did you see that film- BLah BLah at the cinema?"

    "Yeah, it was good/ rubbish."

"Yeah, i though it would be..." OR... "Really, glad i did/ didnt see it then."

An thats it- my god, why not talk about who was in it, what happened (if you want to know the plot details or just a basic story)- something more than it was good/ rubbish. (once though, someone had a go/ got angry at me because i started breaking the film down, and they said to me "God, can you not just watch it and say you like it or you don't- you dont have to anylse every thing do you?!?"- <wasnt very nice.

Ive tried trying something more than "it was good/bad" and the other persons face, its like are away to hyper-ventillate and freak out.

    I just dont get it.
