I sympathise. I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago (aged 45). I've been trying to tell folk about it, but somehow just keep crying every time I admit I am Asperger. Clearly there's something not resolved for me and I'm hoping time will help. It is almost as if it is a shock to realise your whole life has not been what you thought it was.
And let's be honest, it's a bit of an ordeal going through the whole diagnosis proceedure... It is scarey to allow yourself to be psychoanalysed by others.
I was promised a follow up appointment and support so I have that to look forward to. I'd love to meet others 'like me' locally too.
How are you getting on at talking to your friends/family about your diagnosis Bambino?
