I've been feeling kinda lonely romantically lately a few months after coming out of an abusive relationship and don't really want to/am no good at "dating" the way NT people do it. The solution, naturally, seems to be dating sites. The trouble is, there are thousands of these sites around and I'm having trouble filtering the good ones from the bad ones, and especially finding sites that may be a bit more accommodating to a fairly shy bloke with Aspergers. Has anyone on here got any success stories from dating sites? If so, which site(s) did you use and how long did it take to find lurrrrrve?

  • I understand what you mean about a dating website mainly including older men. As a younger man, I have a different kind of issue, but in itself, can be just as bad. For one, I notice a lot of other girls around my age are interested in a lot of interests that are alien to me. I have a strong interest in Japan, now that means I only really listen to Japanese music, so I'd have very little, if any, shared interest in music. Not to mention, from the dating websites I've been on, those around my area are not interested in video games like I am.

    When it comes to asperger's syndrome/autism dating websites, I've been on one called www.aspergersdatingsite.com. However; when I check for girls around my age and area, I come up with nothing but people with no photos, I don't know if I could trust someone without a picture. This is the reason why I stuck to ordinary dating websites, and I read on another forum that there are some autistic dating websites where there are more men than women. I've tried other autistic dating websites, but again, I had no luck.

    I'm curious, what are the autistic/asperger's syndrome dating websites that you could recommend?
