Why? I ask myself

Did my new humax box come with batteries for the remote, when childrens toys which are sold by the hundreds and thousands around xmas never do? It leaves parent scrabbling around to find batreries for each toy, often in a drawer full of the things in different sizes where 2 have been taken out of a pack!

Then there are the people AND THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE, who put dead batteries back in the drawer instead of the recycling? They're as bad and probably the same people who take dead pens out of the bin and put them back in the drawer.

I seriously think the above two should be hanging offences!

Do you any similar annoynaces?

  • I’ve just searched online but I can’t find anything that says batteries must be included. I remember ‘Which Magazine’ or ‘Good Housekeeping’ did a campaign seeking inclusion of batteries, so I must have dreamt it was enshrined in law.

I don’t buy battery operated toys very often but I’ve noticed more battery operated household items include batteries than they used to do, or else it’s just that there are generally more battery operated items on the market than there were 20 years ago.
