I was having dinner, when I was shocked by the breaking news that day. Professor X was the first role I recall seeing and has stuck with me, especially when I watched X-Men (2000) in middle school. I feel really bad for his dear friend Ian McKellen, both him and Patrick were brilliant on screen together in the X-Men films. But, their friendship and chemistry is truly something.
There's an amusing video of Patrick as Jean-luc Picard on the enteprise, singing the alphabet before returning to his chair and uttering "ENGAGE!". I believe this was a blooper or deleted scene.
Yesterday, I was eating lunch when I stumbled across on YouTube, Patrick's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Where he portrayed a random passenger as, "The Most Annoying People on the Plane".
