Can I do a coffee and a donut?

Sounds so odd when there the way if aksibg that's can I get

...and 'can I do' is so vague and suggestive that the mind might boggle at the options.

'Doing a donut' is maybe something a stunt driver might undertake, for example...

“can I get a coffee?” My reply would be, “certainly, help yourself.”

I think it's more polite then I will have I mean both work with please afterward shut I will have makes you soundnliek you'll be awkward if it's out of stock

That's one thing working in retail helped for me is I don't get disaapiinted I'd things aren't in stock because I know how supply chains work and on what time scale
