A delicate but potentially rewarding endeavour

So, in the field of cricket, there is a notable ex-player still involved in the game both by administration and commentry whos career, particularly in the commentry box, shows the effects of ASV. Some readers with sporting interests will know by now to whom I refer...let us give him his anonymity untill such a time as he may declare himself.

In my opinion this person would make a powerful advocate for autism equality. I have his contact details and consider writing to him about this. Any advice regarding the matter and in particular how to avoid offending the individual (for whom I have nothing but the greatest respect both as a sportsman and a person) would be very welcome.

So, if the speculation is already out there then you wouldn't be doing such a terrible thing by discussing it here where there is some knowledge, understanding and sympathy for people who are affected. We might not all agree on whether he has particular traits or difficulties and you then still have the quandary about whether to do anything further.
