Do us autistics see gender identity different?

Music wise. I find I connect to. It better in a linear form like radio or a mix tape too O find Spotify and YouTube music too overwhelming so I need to get an aux chord and some tapes to make miss tapes of stuff I can't get on official tapes or cds

Blue or pink hair in most jobs is a non issue heck were eveb at a point where tattoos are acceptable in most jobs 

A job center advisor once asked if. I'd take out a septum ring for a job i mean if I want to. Keep it why should I? I mean I got rid of it and I'm. Glad. I did I think industrial is the most I'd have now even then it stays in if I get it 

My industrial. Only. Went because it fell out in 2020 and wouldn't rethread

I used to love drinking but now I Mabie have some French largers or mulled wine at Xmas time but mostly I prefer to stick to sort drinks too esspeicaly with a meal

I don't really like the whole fem vs masc thibg like define fem because lots of make up styles are definitely not fem and football isn't really masc although Mabie the culture is I mean when the world Cup is on the pubs atr filled with lads and ladettes

I've pretty much lost Interest in football unless it's on a video game the sports I do like on tv are the Olympics skateboarding and sometimes rugby(league and union) but even that has got too. Celebrity now 

I don't like DM boots unless they're black Ruby or the Union Jack ones I had and docs are definitely kro about style than comfort they are heavy lol

Not gender identity itself but the social norms of what is "Male" and "Female" behaviour and what are boys and girls interests. 

I never got that growing up. When I was a kid I was like I'ma boy why shouldn't I like My Little Pony? And then as a teenager, why shouldn't I enjoy Mean Girls and High School Musical? I didn't see a distinction between being the lad that loved playing football and the person who enjoyed a gossip with the girls and a teen movies. 

Then when I got older society made me feel I had to pick one or the other, Im only just realising now what utter nonsense that was 

I also see that a lot as well, Like i love Pink and Purple clothing and just as colours in General, im also a guy and also gay so its kinda a big thing for most Autistic People to actually Understand from our Point of view. 

I would put myself as very Fem like. But again thats the Attitude we should be showing cus most the times we actually dont really care what most people say About us. 

I have always wanted and Loved seeing people with Different hair colors! i have also always wanted my hair coloured or changed but my parents never really Approved or saw a point in it and tbh they made good points Like it would be a little weird Going to work with Blue or Red hair, But i have still always wanted to get my hair coloured though its always bugged me. 

Kinda but not really no, Its more in the sense of like mostly what girls Would listen to but yet again thats why i said kinda as it falls in that Category.

They are, i feel Autistic People get Overlooked quite a lot, Like for the stuff we love, the games we play, the things we do on a daily. People kinda miss look at what we really see and do as it makes a whole Lot of sentce to Us than it does make to them. But also kinda falls into Line with how we few or see people Differently to what other view or see them as.

Whats not to like about purple?, Why would you not want to wear it? Does beer drinking mark out gender or sexual preferences? I remember being one of the first women in the pub I used to go to in my teens who drank pints, some places refused to serve me pints because I was a woman, thank the Gods those days are gone. I wish there was a better range of soft drinks in pubs, I don't drink alcohol, but most places round here only have horrible cola and lemonade from those tap things, and it's always over diluted, to fizzy and over priced

I’m a guy but i love purple, fluffy jumpers and cardigans, fluffy socks, DM’s with faux fur (technically womens boots) i don't drink beer in a pub but i drink cranberry juice, and i hate football. I’m still a guy, but not your stereotypical guy. I am quite fem. I don’t care though, i like being me. 

My step son wears make-up, dyes his hair wild colours, wears a kilt and leggings, sometimes he gets abuse for it, I don't see a gender I see a person who's my son by another Mum, he sings in a death metal band and sounds like a demon vomiting, which is apparently a compliment. Being tall, with long legs I often wear mens socks, vests, joggers and jumpers, but I also wear more feminine things too. I'm a straight woman and have been all my life, but unless I want to have relations with them what they keep in their pants and who they do it with is fine by me, as long as its between consenting adults.

So what you like music that's supposedly "girly"? Isn't that a term to denigrate music performed and often written by women? 

I think autistic people are  often very concerned with social justice, so would be more likely to not care about outer appearances, but the inner person, so would be more trans friendly, maybe because we notice things like that less, or maybe we just don't care? 

Yeah i totally get what you mean, Like its insane how many people attack others for there Appearance or how they want to be dressed as. Like for me for example, I like to wear my fluffy oversized clothes as it makes me combatable and makes me feel safe. Or i like to wear joggers and a jumper as its warm but makes me stand out a little more.

The Music, im a little different as i like more sadder Music but also i have some happy and amazing banger songs, It depends on the mood i normally feel like i could put sad songs on to make me Feel more Happy or comfdable, or i can listen to some of the more happier songs and that actually would help.

Again i think its based on how you are feeling as for example, 1you could be in a very happy mood and feel more comfdable in yourself mentally. Or it could be the fact that you feel Comfdable in how you look original.

I think the whole girlie. Pop thing so many attack. It. Saying it has no depth etc but it does I mean take manchild by Sabrina carpenter it has that 80s sound whilst sounding original and new and those two part harmonies in the bridge are perfect and I honestly believe that despite what you may or may not think about her musical style that Taylor Swift is a lyrical master I mean even patient zero I didn't like. It at first but like always tay Tay didn't let me. Down it grew on me 

I think why I like so many styles I.e bold make up vs no make. Up or natural looks is that it allows me to be the version of me I want to on that day like clothes wise. I have my USA themed stuff, my emo stuff, my comfy clothes and even some military surplus stuff 

Like. Today I've gone with a wooly jumper with a USA flag I  the corner andUSA across the front and make up wise it's my favorite more supptlw grey eyeliber fro  poundland(which never gets restocks anymore) and a long lash mascara bit other days I might go for a black emo band shirt bold black eyeliner abd bold mascara with black. Eye shadow and a extra layer of liquid liner anf use a liber felt pen to add some wing

That is in-Fact a really good Question, as its hard to really say as Most Autistic Understand it and know what they Identify as male and or Female but most People can see if as something they would like to try or Like to wear. for example, High thighs, or like you said yourself Mascara, if that's what you like to wear and feel combatable doing so, then i see no problem and no one else should see a problem with that. Like i like certain Girlie Movies, i also Like Girle Music. That's something i like and i don't think anyone really cares as its something that makes me happy and that's all they really care for. So again, If this is something you love to do. then i don't see any problems over this and no one else should either.
