Veganism

It's like a swear word to me. I've seen delicious TikTok videos of vegan food.

Animals are treated very badly for their meat. I've seen the videos. I would like to see a law where the animals are treated very well. They should all be able to free roam in fields. I don't mind if there is a huge price hike.

The welfare of the animals should come first. Yes, we are going to eat them, but they shouldn't be caged up all day. I've seen videos where the pigs can't move.

Is torture acceptable to keep prices down?

I was going to mention what the Koreans do to dogs in detail, but it will get this thread closed down fast. In a nutshell, they believe fear and adrenaline improves the flavour of the meat, so they beat them for days. What the hell guys?

All this torture needs to be shut down.

All of it.

There's nothing we can do about it.

It's so fd up.

We are their only voice. It's upsetting, but this thread will be reported and their voice will be silenced yet again.

Just awful.

Aminals are very sensitive and we should cater for this, even if they are being bred for their meat.

They deserve to be treated as living beings. If I could action this worldwide, the price of meat would sky rocket. I say good. If you can't afford to eat animals that are treated humanly, then go eat something else.

Rant over.

  • This is a really interesting discussion. For me, I love animals but I also eat meat. I do see it as the natural food chain, after all animals eat each other. It is how nature is.

However, having said that I passionately believe that every animal should be treated humanely and with dignity and care while it is alive, regardless of whether it ends up as food or not

Im not going to pretend I  always buy free range. Me and my wife are on Universal Credit, we have two children to feed and are barely making ends meet. However, if I have the money I always try to buy things that haven't been battery farmed and to buy local produce from local farms that have freedom to roam etc where I can

I think battery farming should be banned worldwide. As well as the suffering to the animals, it is mindblowing that no government considers how damaging it is to our health to eat deseased creatures pumped full of steroids

Anyway, I share your idea of wishing for a kinder world
