I decided to hoover under my sofa. I don't know why but it seemed a good idea at the time! As well as the usual piles of dust I found:
- a pack of 12 needles in a plastic sleeve
- a dried-out mushroom
- a semi-dried grape
- a largish piece of white bread
- a dead woodlouse, half-way up the skirting.
Down the side of the sofa was a 5p coin, detritius from numerous biscuits and a shard of white bread. In my winter coat pocket, a shrivelled plant [unidentifiable], 3 pennies, a plastic bank coin bag and a key I cannot identify. As a kid, when I had no money I riffled through the sofa and coats for enough change to attend the footie match, and often found enough.
Just for fun, what have you found lurking in dark corners - pockets, sofas, coats, under tables and chairs? Anything useful or surprising? Anything that looks as if belongs in a path lab? Something surprising?
