leading to bigger problems

hi all

have just received a phonecall from my childs school in regards to her behaviour,  after an incident with a fellow pupil she now re-enacts what has happened, the school felt it necessary to contact me as she has been pinching and hurting herself and blaming the child she had the incident with, this child them hit out at her later in the day

i have explained to the school that she is very ecolaic and does repeat instances over and over, the school are concearned that this is going to become a much bigger problem if left

i dont know what to do, any advice?

  • Well this does seem to be a positive outcome...however pls remain vigilant that the policies set out by the school administration are in fact being applied by the front line teaching staff...

  • hi

have been and spoke to the school this morning, what they seem to be concearned about is me thinking my child is being bullied, i have explained to them that  i understand my daughter and would not think this as i am given a full run down of her day after school so would be told if there were any problems,

thanks for your advice i have spoken with the headteacher who agrees and will be speaking to the teaching staff to remind them of this

also the child in question for the pinching is now being closly monitored to insure that this does not happen again.

  • maybe if they resonded appropriately to the original report of physical abuse (pinching), she would be less motivated to continue to raise the issue.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again...teachers show a terrifying reluctance to punish a NT child for tormenting an AS child...betraying the sub-concious belief that such is appropriate and justified...and affirming to the NT bully that they can continue with impunity.

Please remind the school that they are legally responsible for the safety and wellbeing of ALL the children in their care.
