I've got a load of redecorating to do  over the winter, I'm looking at Lakeland paints as they've no toxic chemicals in them and are recomended for people with sensitivities and chest problems. 

Has anyone else used them or other similar products?

I've used mainstream paints that say they're very low VOC, but they still stink and give me a headache and a nasty taste in my mouth.

  • I've not used the Lakeland paints, but if you do decide to try them, it would be interesting to know if you thought it made a difference compared to the mainstream low VOC ones.

    Theres one you can get in B&Q, although I think they only do white, but they do tester pots and they're supposed to be so chemical free and child could lick them without harm.

    But all these paints are really expensive, some £125 for 5litres, but if I can do it with my son's help then it will be OK as we won't be paying for a decorator to come in.

    I think some of these companies do wall paper and other bits and pieces too.
