I need help & I'm so lonely and I don't know what to do

Hello, I'm 29 years old and I'm from Coventry.

I don't know how to make friends anymore, I can't find my very first girlfriend and I'm stuck in life. I got no ambitions or anything anymore.

I work as a part timer and I have working for my very first job since 2018 and I'm very stuck.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I phoned the samaritans and then I phoned the National Autistic Society phone number and I'm not getting anywhere.

I'm very stuck and I'm so lonely and very isolated.

  • Hi Jamit,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Many people will experience feelings similar to these at some point in life - in fact I can relate to it myself - so it's important to know that this is perfectly natural. I would also say that the fact you are looking to change things is a very important and positive step.

The NAS website has a wealth of information for those who want to improve their social situation. You may find it helpful to have a look: Socialising and relationships

As for the employment issue, again, you have said that you have no ambitions but coming here and asking for help must mean that at least you know you want things to change, which is a start. You can try NAS' advice on this at How can I find a job thats right for me to get a feel for how you might go about making such a change.

Please don't hesitate to reach out again if things start to feel any more difficult. You have come to the right place, as this is always a helpful and welcoming community.

    Warm regards
