A world where I have a kitchen filled with the contents of the Lakeland catalogue and bits of John Lewis kitchenware dept, and a herd of grandchildren and other small people I can teach to cook and bake.

Do any of you have these somewhat strange alternative worlds? Mine was triggered by the front cover of a Lakeland catalogue years ago, I thought how nice that life looks, a life where buying new kitchen equipment, nice bowls and pans would be worth it, educational even. Oh well, at least the plum jam is nearly ready

  • A world where the other human beings are thoughtful, gentle, sensitive, peaceful and intelligent. Where people are friendly, but shy. Where people have respect for one another and, most importantly, where people respect and appreciate the natural world, they see the beauty of trees, birds, clean air, clean water, healthy soil, and the miracle of life on earth. In this world people work together, and with nature, in harmony. And people's actions reflect the perfection, beauty and order of the natural world, instead of working against it, destroying it. In this world people try not to harm each other and they try not to harm nature. In this world I am not ridiculed, belittled and bullied for being gentle and honest, and I do not need to fear other people or what each day might bring, because I know the people around me also care deeply about things.
